Flood Advisory issued May 11 at 6:54PM HST until May 11 at 8:30PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County. * WHEN...Until 830 PM HST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 650 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over windward Oahu. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Rainfall rates are decreasing, however water ponding on roadways and elevated stream levels are expected to continue into the evening hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Waiahole, Waikane, Kahaluu, Ahuimanu, Kaaawa, Punaluu, Kaneohe, Kaneohe Marine Base, Hauula, Kalihi, Maunawili, Kailua, Laie, Manoa, Waimanalo, Palolo, Kahuku, Hawaii Kai, Kualoa and Kahana Valley State Park. Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding.
