Flash Flood Warning issued May 20 at 4:08AM CDT until May 20 at 6:30AM CDT by NWS Norman OK At 408 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced up to 2 inches of rain earlier this morning. Additional rainfall amounts of one-half to 1 inch are possible in the warned area before rain ends completely. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Stillwater, Yale, Morrison, Glencoe, Lake Mcmurtry, Sooner Lake, Lake Carl Blackwell, Quay and Ingalls. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

In northern Oklahoma, Garfield, Grant, Kay and Noble. In northwest Oklahoma, Alfalfa and Major. * WHEN...Until 515 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 111 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
