Heavy Rain Risk Area The monsoon through lies across Myanmar, upper Laos and upper Vietnam into tropical depression “MAYSAK” while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated very heavy rain remains in the North and the upper Northeast with heavy rain in some places of the Central and the East while isolated rain is expected in the South. The moderate wind force the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to about 2 meters high, in the lower Andaman Sea, the waves are expected 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
