Delaware Bay... * Until 645 PM EDT. * At 516 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 nm east of Turkey Point to 16 nm west of Bowers Beach to 7 nm east of Parsons Island, moving east at 30 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Brown Shoal Light, Fourteen Foot Bank Light, Slaughter Beach, Cape Henlopen, East Point, Bowers Beach, Woodland Beach, Stony Point, Cape May Point, Miah Maull Light, Ship John Shoal Light, Brandywine Shoal Light, Fortesque Beach, Sea Breeze, Buoy Ge, Sea Isle City, Cross Ledge Light, and Rehoboth Beach. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for central, northern and southern Delaware...southern New Jersey...and the adjacent coastal waters. Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water, stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded metal objects. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather Service.
