A code orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children...people suffering from asthma... heart disease or other lung diseases...and the elderly. Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 4 at 10:22PM EDT until July 4 at 10:30PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and has exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for southern New Jersey. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service Mount Holly NJ.

Special Marine Warning issued July 4 at 10:24PM EDT until July 4 at 10:30PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ The affected areas were... Delaware Bay... Coastal waters from Little Egg Inlet NJ to Cape Henlopen DE out 20 nm... Outer waters from Great Egg Inlet to Cape May NJ from 20 to 60 nm... The thunderstorm has weakened and no longer poses a significant threat to boaters. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for central and southern Delaware...southern New Jersey...and the adjacent coastal waters.
